here's another go at my company's website. I appreciate the critique from last time, most of the critiques i agreed with. So when critiquing this site keep these next few points in mind.
1 - for whatever reason my boss wants me to use Gif's instead of jpeg's or png's for all the images we use ( i cheated on a few, but he's more worried about the logo's etc)
2 - he likes the company logo where it is
3 - for an unknown reason the homepage doesn't slice well so it takes a second to load.
4 - there are alot of dead links and "coming soon" pages because my boss wanted to launch the site before it's done
check it out and let me know what you think

I'm sorry, but i'm being honest, I really just hate this website. I hate the color combos,
the pictures, the buttons, the layout! It just makes me mad to look at it grrrrrr. Sorry, no offense.

The oranges and purples do go well together. The blue is OK with orange. Green (52,0,98,0) is a good compliment to purple. But overall I like it Colonel5. Let us see the changes if there are any.
I like it as well...
Purple and orange compliment each other, eventhough they're bright, but they do go together.
Overall it really looks pleasing to the eye, I think you did a good job.

I think it's a lot better than before. It's not bad, but I do think it feels a little cramped. Maybe some of the elements are too big? Maybe you could get rid of some of the extra stuff? I'm not sure how to solve the problem, just that what you have now makes me feel a little claustrophobic.

It is better than before but I think I agree with 13YrGuru. Also that top banner that rolls down everytime you go to a new page makes me angry. Keep at it, you can do better.

Too much white space -- maybe make the site scalable to the browser. Not digging the grid navigation to the left because it pushes the landscape photograph down too much. Maybe move image up and logo/nav to the left. Tie image in with text box more.

here's a question... What's the line between boss and employee and saying "no, that's a dumb idea!" Like on the homepag, I am not a big fan of that, but it was his idea, and even after i showed him a different direction that i thought looked better he still insisted on going the current route... of course i know at the end of the day it's his call cause he's the boss, but do you guys think there's room to just say "hey, that sucks and I don't like having my name attached to that!"?

Keep working the direction your boss wants to go, but also try doing a couple mock ups of directions you like better. Show all of them to the boss and explain why you like which one the best. If you can do a good job selling it, maybe he'll decide to go your way. Don't say that his are bad, just say that this other way will work even better. At least that's what I would try to do. But like you said, in the end it's his call. If you don't like it then don't put it in your portfolio.

I actually quite like orange and purple, I seem to dress my daughter in that combo a fair bit LOL. The more I look at the homepage though, I tend to agree it look a bit cramped - specifically the purple text box. I'm also not a huge fan of the navigation, JS doesn't help search rankings and if a user has JS turned off the menus don't appear. The black nav buttons that appear when you've clicked on the nav seem a bit out of place, I mean they work with the black coming soon box but seem out of place with the rest of the design.
I think the way its scaled is fine, it minimises issues wrt: res settings on individual user's monitors, and I don't think there's too much white space. :) How did you go with working on your boss?

I think it is definatly going somewhere. The one thing that really bothers me is part of your rollover menus. When I am going down the menu, I missed most of the side menus because I rolled over them too quick. Any way to indicate that there is another menu there? Perhaps a dot or something after the text?
I dunno what you could do, but just a suggestion.
