Illustrator to PDF

I've tried saving an Illustartor 9 file into pdf format. When i opened the saved pdf file into Acrobat Reader the drawings did not come as sharp as they looked in Illustrator only the text came sharp. What could be the reason for this. Can anybody explain?

For some reason the pdf display of vector graphics is always a bit crappy, try to print it out and see what you get. If it prints sharp then it was just a screen redraw issue.

yeah, that's what it could be. you can also try to print the file as a pdf. it will correct that problem most likely and it will also compress it for web use.
