Hey guys, I'm new here so hi!

I just need a small question answered here:

When i "save as" an image that I've been messing around withusing layers etc. in the JPG format, it saves it as a PDF file that doesnt even open again in Photoshop (nor Acrobat Reader!). It's not too much of a problem as I can simply "Save for web..." and it works fine, but I'd like to know why it does this if anyone knows? I am kind of new to Photoshop so it might be something really obvious that I've overlooked, but anyways please post if you know something about it!

Thanks alot http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Is the file 8 bit? Flattened?

I haven't changed the "RAW" files or whatever intentially, how do I change it back to 8-bit? Do I need to flatten the image before saving in .JPG, if so, how?

Make sure, in your save as window, that you're UNchecking the 'Layers' box.
To change to 8-bit... Image > Mode > 8-Bit
