I was going to my car and saw this above our side door. At first it was a few bees looking like they were up to no good. As I went through the pictures I came across this one that looked like they were about to go at it:)

thanx guys, i had to react quick and didn't realize all my setting weren't correct until after, still not bad for it being on ISO 800, a little grainy, but still o.k.

At one point there were about ten of them buzzing around.

wow. Were you really that close, or was that a super-zoom shot? I don't know how close I would have got to the little buggers!

the detail is amazing - I love the face on the one on the top right side. It looks like it is wearing a mask!

Great shot Tyger, but from the thread title I was thinking some kind of mud wrestling or something.

"didn't realize all my setting weren't correct until after ..."

Funny. I used to do that a lot when I first got my Rebel. Take a slew of pics then realize my ISO is still set to 800 or 1600 from the night before.

Grrr ....

I find that digital 800 and 1600 are a lot less grainy that film 800 and 1600, especially when you print them out, which is nice, unless you are going for a grainy effect.

true steve-o,

i've done it a few times already...hmph, i guess cause i'm still a newbie:) and yes even at a high ISO it's not that bad, compared to other camera i've seen at a high ISO.
