Feeling lonely and missing my skating times , I Show you my last skate, with new trucks. and my questions is. How one person can feel so much pain and happiness at the same time skating. I have some scars in my knees and ankles too, but the magic of a trick is awesome.
Do you guys likes skating?

I don't have the coordination for skating. I love the photos though - great perspective shots of the board!

Thanks for sharing the pics!!
I was into this when i was younger. I didn't skate myself tho I do still have a couple boards. In the neighborhood I grew up in, all of us kids were pretty close and all hung out together. There was one family with 3 sons - we called them the "Baker Boys". Baker was their last name. They built a half pipe in their front yard and it was HUGE. All if us kids would hang out there and either skate or watch the skaters.
I had a dear friend named Travis who skated there also. He designed art for boards in his spare time as a hobby (not selling any of them). We called him "Mookie" In his senior year of high school he was in a car with 3 other guys and the car got hit by a train. Travis didn't make it :( A few months before that he had given me a board that he revamped and redid the artwork on. I can't even think about getting rid of it even tho I know I won't ever use it.
You brought back some great memories of those younger days with your post Ikyut, thanks! :)

Dzine:
It is said that one image is more than 1000 words (please correct my grammar if itīs wrong) but ironically
It seems that your story is for far more than my poor four images.

It didn't make me sad, honestly! It just made me realize all the good times I had in middle school with all of these people :)

I used to do a little skating back in the day when Powell Peralta were the boards to get, with the likes of Tony Hawk, Caballero, Lance mountain, Guerrero...the bones brigade crew. Man i'd love to get my hand on that Public Domain video:)
I did some freestlye but no half pipe stuff. It was very cool when i landed my first kick-flip:)
ah...those were the days:)
check this out if you into the oldschool skaters.

I skated near every day for years and years - the Bones Birgade were my idols. After a while it sort of went to the wayside, I guess the pain of falling was getting to me. Now after like five years off, my son (who's now 12) decided that it's time to come live with dad...
To make a long story short I pretty much skate three or four times a week now and I can't figure out for the life of me how I ever stopped. It's an incredible feeling finally landing something you've been working on/shedding blood for, it makes it all worth it.
Question about the first pic...
Did you put the closest truck on backwards for the photo or did you not know? Turning it around will make it a lot easier.

Smart question, Player!!,
You are the only one who noticed that.
When I isntalled the trucks, I commit a mistake and putted it backwards. but I didnīt find any change or trouble to skate... and I īd never change it to the regular position... but you are right It must be change. The point is that I bought the new trucks, and I quit skating in a short time after that, for that reason the trucks are new, and the red paint hasnīt any damaged too.
Now I play soccer, however I miss skating so much :(
