My co-worker has this problem (or had, we switched to InDesign) but he had to save each page as an EPS and use distiller to make a pdf - a complete waste of time, but unfortunatly we were unable to figure out the problem before we made the switch... sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Sometimes when there is a font issue - have you tried saving it as a postscript file and using distiller, that is the preferred method because the export feature is kinda buggy.

are you saving an entire document or page by page of a document? I would take a guess at it being a font issue. Fonts can be so troublesome at times and have a mind of their own. If you are doing several pages at one time...try doing it page by page maybe.

Or going through your listed fonts, and swapping them with something you know works. Once you find the culprit, maybe you can change it for something similar. I've had to do similar "search and replaces" on programs with pictures and tons of fonts. Not fun, but it'll save you some headaches.

true ^^ and the creating the PDFs page by page will also help you figure out which is your troublesome font - if the problem IS a font.
