layers are bad...

use tables....inside of each table cell you will have an image that has been optimized in imageready from photoshop

to center an image go the the <td> and center it....its in the properties pallette

Perm your giving the wrong advice. Layers are CSS div tags titled 'layer(1)' etc. You can use these to center all your content and specify the exact location. Like D-Frag said your best bet is to go to w3schools.com. Once you understand the underlying technology you'll be fine.

I can help you center everything as I've figured out how to minipulate CSS-P which is the technical name for what you'll be doing.

What are you laying your work out on? Also can you link your images from your server I can't see attachments or avatars due to the firewall in my job.

If I did it I would use CSS. I would set the light blue as the background. Then I would put an outside div that had a dark border all the way around. Then I would position the header and buttons above the top part of the border to get it to look like the picture.

I don't know how this is accomplished in DW, because the more I see the code it puts out the more I hate it.

The layers DW uses are Javascript/DHTML layers. They are much more than whats needed.

They are? I've actually never used them I assumed it was just CSS-P.

Perm do you beleive in water? Cause CSS is just as real.

Benjo, if you look at the other topic in the Macromedia section, that code is DHTML. I'm not sure if all DW sites do it. Your sites aren't. At least the ones I remember now.
