Hi,
Oh dear I can't think of any cute intro.

I came here because I was looking for free clip art yesterday and was trapped several times in the web site directories that seem like you are going to get to an actual real site, but you never do.

Or, perhaps it is only I who never gets to a real site, because I have a bit of brain damage.

So I had to wonder, do people get paid because I click on their links and go to pages with advertising?

I was mystified.

I know that last Easter I found several neat clip art pages.

I've now taken a new approach, and that's to go to Google's page 10, then the next last page, etc.

Which is how I found this site, via Sitepoint.

lots of clipart sites are in fact just a big database to other clipart sites URLs
as for myself, when i need a clipart a devote a whole day for the net searching
coz to find a really clipart site i have to browse and TRAVEL among at least 6 sites till i see the clipart
after a while, i bookmark what i find, coz you'll never know when u'll use them again

Hi New Era,
Yes, I think you are right.
It does take all day.
I have a problem with book marked sites because I have so many...

I can see why people would want to join together to get better placement in Google, but those pages ... none of them seemed to ever actually open to clip art. As I say, I could have kept clicking on the wrong thing because of my brain damage.

But what it taught me is that there isn't really any reason to feel obligated to start at the beginning of Google and work systematically down the line.

In fact, I can't believe that for years I approached it only that way.

Thank you a lot for writing.

:)
