Quark and fonts...is it that hard to figger out??

I'm a nice guy...play well with others...put in my 11 hours a day...make the best of the worst...troubleshoot prolly 99% of the prepress snags that come up.
So why can't I figger out this DAMN PROBLEM Quark has with fonts??? Is it that tough for em to get right?

I use Preps for 90% of my imposition. I can't export fonts using the Preps extension, I can't export fonts using export for pdf. I am really starting to get friggin pisst about this.

You know what they can do with their new logo? Go ahead, ask me!

D-Frag, are you still as po'd as I'm getting?
Come on, D-Zine, Magnus, what is the big secret with OSX, Quark 6.5, 5.0 and fonts? I have better luck getting output from, yep, I'm going to say it--Publisher!

Does Quark look in a different place that EVERY other app for fonts?

DZ uses postscript files and distiller. I don't use Quark enough to help you out Rick any other way. Sorry. I can't even get Quackmeup to see fonts that every other program can see.

They can fold that logo up until it's all points and stick it sideways.

Rick, I use quark and preps often and do not have font problems often. Our Preps is bundled with Apogee2 which is a little out of date so I'm compelled to save quark files down to 4.1 which I think is very stable anyway. Try this site--http://prepressforums.com/index.php They have printers that can help you there that have every configuration imaginable. :)
