It was crazy, when I saw this one. Morea and I were riding at my old crosscountry running course, when we saw a ton of them flying around a section of the small river. There had to be 20+ of them. I got lucky because they were really jumpy.

Where are you guys from? Is there some kind of Dragonfly attack in your neigboordheid or somteting. I have never seen those animals before :confused:

I think that everyone who has posted so far is on the east coast of the US.
Dragonflies can be found in lots of different types of habitats, usually near water. Small ponds and marshes tend to contain many varieties of dragonflies.

I can use lens attachments with my digi... I just want to be sure I am comfortable with it as-is before I go making it more complicated for myself!

Thanks, and the best part is I have the photo is at 2592 x 1944 pixels at 72ppi. It's 36in x 27in at 72dpi it will look huge and awesome on the HP5500. Gotta love a 7.1 Megapixel. It's taken with a Olympus C-7070 Wide Zoom. If you like that one check out Purple Flower (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=157566&postcount=160) you can actually see the morning dew on it.

So I went hunting for more bugs today and came up with nothing, but on my way back to my car i came across a bridge and saw some spider webs in the corner and lo and behold here was this little guy.

yeah just the popup flash unit(sometimes it's just available light)..i'm looking at a few flash units though...i'd like to get the macro twin lite ones but damn they are pricey. i've seen a few used 550EX's floating around...heck i'd be happy wit the 420EX :)
yeah i'd love a twinlight or ringflash unit, but i should probly get a macro lens first.
