So I went to see Coldplay last night at the Target Center. I've never really liked them, as I didn't quite get their sound - not too much into sad bastard music. But I've only really listened to their new album.
This morning I'm singing a whole new tune. What an amazing show. So much energy, crazy lights, dude banging on the keys and dancing around like a madman!

Has anyone every seen them live? If not I would highly recommend it.

Yeah, they definitely impressed me live. I've always kind of said that they were a cheap imitiation of Radiohead. While that's still mostly true, I think that their value as live performers partially redeems them. Plus, they do have a few really great songs.

My biggest problem with Coldplay is that they never seem to evolve. All of their albums, while not terrible musically, are all very safe. They never dare to push the envelope and try new things. Radiohead (like all great bands) always come with some new shit when they drop an album.
