nice... I've always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon. My grandma has family in Albaquerky and used to go the the festival down there quite a bit... it is crazy how many balloons are there and the different shaped ones like boats and animals - hope you get some great shots to share with us.

thanks Satchel - I can't wait! I am borrowing a tripod (I've never used one before), and want to try to create my first ever panoramic shot - should be fun!

I'm pretty excited because this is the first time I've been able to go with my very own camera, so I want to experiment a bit and see if I can come up with some creative shots... after a while, if you're not careful, they all start to look alike :D

lol, you set the camera on him - he has 3 legs, so he can balance better than me, as I only have two.

ok, that makes sense. in case you haven't thought of it already....be sure to shave him, otherwise you might have stray hairs in the photos and it could ruin them.

Now this is what I call branding!! Target knows how to use a logo on everything. Even their own hot air balloon. I just love the fact that they actually put a registered mark on it! LOL!

Yuppers! It's crazy how many thousands come out for this. They will launch again tonight and tomorrow. It's the only time you'll run into more than 1 or 2 people at the gas station at 5 am around here. LOL! Upstate New Yorkers sure love their hot air balloons!!

Yeah we sure did! This is only the second year that I have taken pictures and it was the better of the two. I even went out and bought a new memory card so I wouldn't run out of pictures. LOL!
