Hello, I just found your site. I'm hoping that someone can shed a little light on a subject that has stumped us.
We're trying to get some promotional products made for our site. The image we sent to the production company was a 72dpi jpeg. The company is telling us now that it has to be at least 300 dpi.
I'm pretty sure we can redo the lettering with no problem, but the original image was saved from our site, and it apparently was created for the web @ 72dpi. Can this image be converted some way to 300dpi?
We're using Adobe Photoshop 7.0.
Thanks for any help that you may be willing to offer.

unfortunately, if the image doesn't have the resolution to begin with, you probably won't be able to use it. While 72 dpi is acceptable for a website, you need significantly higher resolution for printing.

So I guess you've heard this one before.....[/sarcasm]
Ok then, could someone suggest software that we can make vector images with? Perhaps a plugin for Photoshop?
It's a really simple image, just a blue star....like the Dallas Cowboys. Can it really be that difficult? I'm finding out that yes, it can be.

Sorry for being a pain in the arse, but one more question....
Do these programs create images as vector by default?

Sorry for bringing an old question back from the dead. I don't deal with graphics much, so I had no idea it was such a well-worn issue.

Hey, I know a McNutt family. They're missionaries, or were. They've been to Mexico and I think they lived in Georgia for awhile, but they've also lived here in North Carolina. Could be related?

Making the move from Illinois to Georgia during the 6th grade, with the last name McNutt....
You either had to be one bad mofo, or have a crazy sense of humor.
I'd like to think I'm one bad mofo, but I'm not....
