I'm new here... so... hi! anyways, I'm looking to get some feedback on a logo I'm working on for a website that is going to be about lawnmower racing...

What do we think? What could be better? Where would you go with this?

Welcome Bishop... lawnmower racing is sweet... I had a friend that had an old snapper that used to do what he called "freestyle lawnmowing" were he would try to ride really long wheelies, and take it over table top jumps... man was that fun, ok anyways.

I dont think the logo should include the whole address, maybe just the lawnmower guy with letters, or something to that effect. This seems like there wasn't very much thought put into it, just typed up and posted... try to play with it a little, something will pop up.

^^^ what he said^^^
Your mower needs to be a little cleaner as well.
Where would I go with that? hmmm the drawing board?

the graphic of the racer on the side is choppy looking and so is the curve of the last m and the underline.....vector it?

the last m makes me think of a lawnmower cutting it out...maybe play off that a little more....it looks very cut-in-the-lawn but it might be interesting to make it more obvious.....maybe thats cliche i dont know

thats my 2/100 of a dollar

Good points all... I'm thinking I should just take the mower out, I don't have a better graphics for that...

And I'm working on adjusting the text somewhat... when I come up with something, I'll post it up...

Right now the whole thing is just frustrating me... dang logo...

Thanks for the comments though... I'll continue working on it and see what I can figure out...

Photoshop/Paintshop.... that's about it... kind of dissapointing I'm sure, but you work with what you have, right? :)

I like the font that you chose, it makes me think race track. Unless they race these things on lawns instead of assphalt, then you probably don't want me thinking track.

They race them on grass/dirt tracks... and they are tracks, they're not like some random thing...

Few changes... you can see the one above, and a new smaller style... for business card/letterhead/envelopes/etc...

I like it, you might want to take a second look at the bottom text, i think its a good font for your mark but maybe not so readable at the bottom

Changed... I think this font is a little more readable... at least for me... how about you?

I'm also thinking that I should start with the small one and build off that for the bigger one... so, once I get the small one looking good, I'll take the design ideas off of that and move forward...

Might open out the "c" in racer, at a first glance it almost reads as raoer or raeer because of the similar forms.

*edit*
acutally just cutting the c in racer like the tail of the e (then mirror the bottom half of the new c to make the top half). Pretty sure that would be the "correct" way of making a "c" with the rest of the font the way it is
