this is a website I'm working on for a local rapper, the page i'm sending you to is only the basic layout, the body is blank etc, so mainly looking for critique on menu and sidebar and the basic layout etc. and also any ideas are welcome!

I'd suggest breaking out of the box. Have the rapper punching out of the top box with a mic in this hands. Then maybe use photoshop to include the DiJohn logo as a tatoo on on of this fingers.

What ya think?

ya, i'm not a huge fan, but the client loves it, so i guess as long as they're happy ;o)
I have a few other ideas i'm going to run by him

good idea Max, gotta see if I can get his photographer to get some more recent shots of him, maybe a punching one can fit into their next shoot

Hey as long as the client loves it. I make myself nuts trying to make jobs perfect for me when the clients allready loves it.

Applies literarly as well for this case.

Basically, I think it's important that this website breaks the conventional blocky (good boy) layout inorder to protray the rapper (naughty boy). :)

I'd choose a different font for the body text, its pretty hard on the eyes on my screen.
