I need some help on my new logo. I guess i have a start, but i've been struggling with this for like 2 weeks. This is what i have, but i personally don't like it very much. I need a new concept. The only thing i have rightnow is "ds design", which i want to keep. It is my initails. Here it is...

Any help?

IMHO that screams $5 logos...I think you hit the nail on the head.

But if you have your little heart set on changing it you should start with a concept. What are you trying to do with the arrow? Try switching the font and the weight. Maybe have DS bold and Design in light.

I like your colors 13 yr Guru. I think it's great that you keep trying and you do not quit. Your logo needs to represent...you. Don't worry about what others think. It should communicate your own vision.

At this point...it seems as though you are just going through your font list and this is giving you some pretty uninspired results. This is why you yourself are not very pleased with it. It is not really you.

I would step away from your computer and draw some ideas first. Find something about yourself to drawout and depict. You love children's hearts. What else do you love? Play with ideas on paper with a pencil. Then scan in your ideas and and redraw in Illustrator making vector art. Try doing this in black and white first to get a sense of balance while you make variations on your drawings. Color can come later.

I think the result will make you much happier in the end.

the arrow concept is not a good idea, it's very much used in all the transportation .. marine .. electronics .. shipping ..etc fields
i say (agree with vikia) choose a concept about YOU

Think you've got 'designer's block'? Might help to go out to feed yourself by looking at other designs.

I was thinking of a paint brush, or somthing. Painting the logo onto the page. But, i'm afraid i'm not good enough at illistration. I'll keep you updated

Do you know What? How am i supposed to come up with a concept when my name means absolutly nothing. It is just my two initails, then "design". How am i supposed to build an identity on that?

Alright, I thought for a long time, and i invented a whole new thing. It has absolutly nothing to do with the old one, but here it is...

You could make the "i" a paintbrush.

You will have to explain how the backward c and 3 represents you or what it means to you. I like the fonts. Why is one square in color...does it mean something?

As far as drawing, you simply have to practice at this. That is the only way you are going to get that skill. The ability to draw is definitely a graphic design skill that has been under used since computers. But this is the fastest way to conceptualize ideas. I recommend that you learn to draw and force yourself to practice.
