hi all, long time no see! i've been very busy growing a big bump - pregnancy is the worst distraction from real life ever!!
i've just finished a corp id project for a client who is setting up his own business trading in spirits, mainly whiskeys and brandys. he was pleased with the result, and i'm quite happy too.
here are some elements of the identity:

i got the colour palette from the everchanging array of rich colours from different lights falling on a glass of whiskey/brandy, and i think they work quite well.
hope you guys like it too - but as always i'm open for comments! (even though this particular project is finished! lol  )

I lose both the "r"'s in "Spiritrade" and I read it as Spintade ... like Gatorade, and Powerade. Just throwing it out there.
I like the bottle sketch, but in general the whole mark seems a little too delicate and thin-lined. It might work, I'm just concerned that it would get a little lost when place into a layout or design.
The colors, IMO, are dead on though.
Did you have any more sketches or ideas that led you to this point?

hey petchy, Welcome back!
I likey, this font is hand drawn right? The color choices are very nice, and the line weight is enough so I can read it well.

Ha, I didn't even read the part about how the project was finished already. Oh well, I'll leave my comments ... the "r"'s getting a little lost does concern me. But if the client was happy and you already got paid ... I guess it's a moot point.

It's a deal petchy ... just send me $100 and I'll keep quiet.
Just kidding ... unless you want to send me $100, which you're always welcome to.

I really like the illustration, the colors you selected and the "feel" the whole thing conveys. I also immediately thought the "r" was a bit weak in both places. My other concern would have been that the text wasn't bold enough and might get lost in some applications.

That was exactly what I was thinking the minute I saw it. Honestly, until you told me that it was already completed, I thought it was a rough.
Its different for sure.
like the photo. Your illustration and type are a nice place to start an identity off from. The style that you've used conveys warmth and friendliness and gives the id a boutique feel. good work.
