Logo Opinion Needed

Hey folks, I'm not a graphic designer but I browse these forums regularly, having never posted, cause I enjoy reading and looking at your work.

So, I bought a website and I need your opinions on a logo that I am considering having redesigned. Please let me know...good, bad, indifferent? and why?

Thanks for the legal advice but it's not what I asked for, especially considering you are wrong. Take a look at Yahoo Music, and a host of other sites.

These are music videos, NOT MP3. They are also not available for download. They are only available to be played.

AOL, Yahoo, and a SLEW of others provide the very same service, so, in the future, I might consider what you are implying more carefully, prior to implying it, ESPECIALLY when you are wrong.

Anyone else care to leave the legal advice/implications to someone who is actually qualified to comment (as opposed to a graphic designer who knows about as much about law as your local garbageman)?

I have a feeling you will get ignored, or your threads will get railroaded if you act defensively.

When I post a thread on any forum, I take all posts with a pinch of salt and then take from it what I feel helps me.

And I resent your implications towards graphic designers... and garbage men for that matter. you have no idea what people on here know, or have studied... I happen to know a lawyer who passed the bar in two states... only to realize his true passion is design... I bet he'd be able to tell you a thing or two about law and/or your logo.

Your logo is a bit generic..... a tv wearingheadphones.. doesn't scream musicvdeo search engine to me. HOWEVER seeing that there is a whole schwag purchase section, are you tossing all the old inventory, or do they screen on demand? If you got a bunch of inventory I'dd not bother. what's the success of the site been like ....ad $$$$ for revenue? Is it's market positioning worth a redesign as you might negate previous sucess?
