I'm all about JP iV
sin city also... more Sin City is always a good thing.
rocky and Rambo... i'm first in line
I am curious if the "designer crowd" enjoys the idea of more more more Sin City than other groups. It's so delicious to LOOK at. Too bad Benicio was killed off in the last one. I can never get too much of that guy either. (Again, the delicious thing.)

I would assume that anyone with a pulse would enjoy more Sin City, but I could be wrong. :)
Yay, 300 posts. :D

TPB sounds like an STD no offense Panda Man.
The only movies I am truly excited about on that list is
Sin City 2 & 3, Clerks 2, and a new Indiana Jones Movie
If Jurassic Park 4 don't have Spielberg attached - I ain't gonna see it.

I was going to say the same thing about Indiana Jones. That could be good -- but the last one sorta sucked, despite the Sean Connery/Christian Slater factor.

I'm a huge fan of Frank miller. I love the comics and this movie was a perfect adaptation of 3 of his stories

both indy and JP 4 have Speilberg attached. I heard Speilberg came up with the idea for JP 4.

I wonder what the twist will be in JP4. The dinosaurs have already invaded a city, so they can't really go that route again. And I think we've seen enough scenes of people running through the jungle with a dinosaur chasing after. Maybe in this one, the humans team up with the dinosaurs to fight another unseen evil!

It's a good thing Frank Miller has control over this one - We wouldn't want another Robocop 3 ;)

Robocop 3 was a true story, shot live on location, in real time.

Alien Resurrection was bad, and Alien vs. Predator was HORRIBLE (PG-13? pfft...) The original Alien 3 was OK at best, but the director's cut version is awesome and I'm flabbergasted why they didn't go that route to begin with.
How about Speed 2? Wonderful movie, right? : p
The worst sequel of all time -- Christmas Vacation 2. The first one is a classic, the second one? I poop on you CV2!!

The worst sequel of all time -- Christmas Vacation 2. The first one is a classic...
"Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny ****ing Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of *******s this side of the nuthouse. " ~Clarke Griswold

are they gonna have any original movies?
Cracks me up every time, I can never get enough of that Griswold Christmas fun. lol
oh and I just read they want to re make Robocop
It might not be too bad if they went back to it's roots. Robocop 2 not bad, Robocop 3 was a pile of shit. From interviews I have read with Frank Miller (Writer for Robocop 2 and 3) He has said the studio wanted to capitalize on the success of the action figures and cartoon so it was dumbed down to appeal to kids. Hence the PG-13 rating. That is also why we did not have a Sin City movie before Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller did not trust the studios with his comics and characters.
Caddyshack 2 was a much worse sequel....

Come we all know Speed 2 is the worst :P
Speed 2 was real bad....but Speed was not a good movie to begin with - Caddyshack is one of the funniest movies of all time, the sequel is an embarrassment.

How about Batman sequels? Returns was awesome, Forever was bland, Batman & Robin was horrible, and Begins was one of the best movies I've seen this year so far.
Mynock

I have to say that Batman & Robin and Forever top my list of worst sequels. With Batman and Robin stealing first place. I did hear they were making one between Begins and the orginal.

What if they made a Mr. Belvedere movie?
Greatest sequel of all time?
Godfather 2 comes to mind immediately.
What if they made a Mr. Belvedere movie?
Now there is a sitcom that is just screaming for a feature film.

X-Men 2 was better then the first in my opinion.
That would rule - But they can't make it during baseball season - We need Bob Ueker to call the Brewers games.

Here are some sitcoms/dramas that definitely deserved a shot on the big screen:
Alf
Knight Rider
The Facts of Life
(Forgot this one) Quantum Leap
On the topic of sequels, all the Superman films were pretty good. Karate Kid went bad once they brought in Hillary Swank.
Greatest sequel of all time?
Godfather II is probably the greatest sequel of all time.
Runners up include Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, Temple of Doom, Scream II.....hmmmm seems to be a theme here. All great sequels magically turn into trilogys :D
I heard they were making a Miami Vice movie. Colin Farrel and Jamie Foxx, anyone else hear this?
TheBluePanda

Yeah, I was kinda bummed to hear Colin Farrel was in it. He doesnt have the same vibe as Don Johnson in any shape or form.
Yeah that seemed odd to me as well. But I love me some colin farrel, he might be able to pull it off.

Final Destination 3Wouldn't the word "final" imply the end? It's a bit ironic to have 3 final anythings

Don't look at the Final Fantasy video games then...what are there, like 20 of them? Oh well, it doesn't matter, both Final Destinations were horrible, so I imagine the third one will be also.

Personally, I'm waiting for the sequals to "Ishtar".
I was always kind of bummed we never got a sequel to Stargate. I know the TV show kind of wiped out any chances of it and I liked the show. But it would have been cool to see Kurt Russell and James Spader reprise their roles.

/\ Agreed. That movie was pretty exciting and actually alright, much better than the chessy-ness of Independence Day. Always thought those guards with the Anubis & Horace helmets were cool.

Miami Vice is a go. Farrell doesn't seem right for Don Johnson's role, but he's very good so who knows
Indiana Jones 4 has been around for years. I read a script about 2 or 3 years ago written by Frank Darabont (who wrote part 3 and some of the TV series "The Young Indiana Jones"). In the script I read, Indy had a long lost son, who teamed up with him for some adventures in the 50's or 60's, I can't remember which. Basically, Harrison Ford will take Connery's role, and some young punk will be the 'new' Indy.
Sin City sequels will be good, I think. Horrible and violent and disturbed, but oh so beautiful.
Stargate wasn't bad, but I think McGuyver has ruined any sequel chances.
I have also read of a True Lies sequel. That would be...awkward, given the times. Radical Muslim terrorists are just not as funny as they were in 1993. Plus, Arnie's not quite as threatening as he was back then, and Tom Arnold's too big a star now, huh?
Oh, and the worst sequel title: "I still know what you did last summer" Shouldn't it have been "I still know what you did THAT summer"?

Evan Almighty (Bruce Almighty 2): Who the hell is Evan? Making a sequel of a Jim Carrey movie without Jim Carrey is never a good idea.

Ooh, interesting. So I guess the motiviation to make the movie is to capitalize on the current Steve Carrel buzz. I enjoy him, so it may actually work out.
It can't possibly be any worse than casting Jamie Kennedy as the lead in The Mask 2. Or casting complete unknowns in Dumb and Dumberer.

There's a current Steve Carrel buzz?

Steve Carrell buzz boomed with 40 Year Old Virgin...if you haven't seen it, it's supposedly out on DVD sometime in December. He's awesome on the US version of "Office"

It was his first role as a leading man in major motion picture and it did well. I loved him since his days on the Daily Show. When he debated with Steven Colbert it was comic cold. Can't remeber what they called it.

Highlander 5? At least 3 and 4 weren't as horrible as 2.
