The logo is for a website that's bacically a calendar of events (basically club events, concerts, restaurant events etc) in my country. The website (which isn't finished yet) has a "coffee" colorscheme, which is why the logo has a colorscheme of "coffee". The website has an actuall calendar in it so that is why I made a calendar with a "exited" feel to it.
Here's a direct link to the final version in b&w, and two colorshemes I still can't decide about.

Thank you for commenting on it, and I hope I can get many usefull critiques to improve my designs :)

Hi sp4rki,
When it comes to the colours I actually like a mix of your submissions.
I like the "tu calendario" in #3 becuase the "calendario" part is a bit stronger than it is in #2.
But I prefer the "enterate primero!" in #2 because it is also stronger than #3.
having said that, the only thing I don't like about your logo is the actual calendar. It's very clip arty and generic. I would advice you to redesign it. Maybe work on a lot of different versions of calendars then when you're finally happy with one stick it with your type (if you really wanna use a calendar).
If you can somehow incorporate the calendar in the words "tu calendario" I think you'll get a winner for sure.

Well I didn't actually remake the calendar as there arent many ways to draw a vectorized calendar that can scale to half an inch :p. BUT I did change the direction of the whole design. This is only a test but what would you think about these:

Again thanks for any critics and comments :)

I like #3 and #4 from the second version. Putting "tu" in the calendar has a stronger impact than the first versions. Nice work!

Is it really that better than the first one? And does that remove the clipart / ical feeling?

Maybe you don't even need an image of the entire calender. See if you can just take the spiral rings from the calander and incorprate that somehow into the typography.
