This logo is for a "event calendar" webpage for my country. In my last post I got a lot of very helpful critiques and some pointed me to try another aproach. So I went back to the sketchpad etc... now I have a completly different approach. Anyays heres the link:

Thanks in advanced for the critiques.

I like the top left one, its simple and it seems to be well aligned. the single line does more in my opinion than those icons. beware of using that 3 overlaping triangle icon, its already apart of a company icon/logo:

I used to work with them, they are big sticklers when it comes to someone uses anything close to there branding.
Nice concepts though.

The overlapping triangles is hardly an original enough concept for pacificorp to be claiming exclusivity. I would love to see them go against a foreign country in a logo dispute.

Matbiskit,
Maybe do a www.google.com search on "Trademark infringement lawsuits in international courts" I did, and got a few lawyer sites on that matter.
Lindows was being sued by Microsoft in "International Courts",
here is a little tidbit for ya: (yeah it was last year but stuff like this happens all the time): Link (http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,115539,00.asp)
----
Ongoing Battle
Microsoft sued Lindows.com in the U.S. in December 2001, accusing the company of infringing its Windows trademark and asking the court to bar Lindows.com from using the Lindows name. Microsoft has lost two requests for an injunction in the U.S., and the trial has been delayed.
European courts, however, are siding with Microsoft. The software vendor has won injunctions in Finland, Sweden, and the Netherlands, and is pursuing the case in France and Spain. It also is pursuing the case in Canada and Mexico.
"The goal of these actions is very simple. We're only asking that Lindows change their name and compete with a name that is distinctly their own and not such an obvious infringement of our trademark," Microsoft's Drake says.
-----
Thus in the end Lindows was forced to change there name. They are now Linspire.
Things such as a name or logo is considered a trademark, thus it could open for an international court battle, that will cost quite a bit of money.
So: "I would love to see them go against a foreign country in a logo dispute."
It has happend, the above was just an example.
Oh! and here: http://www.inta.org/ International Trademark Association.
Anywho, sorry Sp4rki for the highjack. Good job on the logos.

Navian- Do you feel better now?
I actually like the diamonds version. Maybe it could be adjusted to look like pages being peeled off of a desktop calendar. Personally, I liked some of the versions in the other thread better...
