Hello. I am the owner of a web hosting company. I am interested in offering services to my customer such as web designers and graphic designers. Basically, I want to put a portfolio of 3 or 4 designers (for each field or all together I am not yet sure of) onto pages, and if you like the work you can hire the designer. This is on a work-for-pay basis. I bring in business, you choose your prices, and you get most of your profits (I take a small cut for bringing in customers, no more than 10%). I am using gmail because I have Gmail Notifier, and if I got a reply id like to discuss it with the person right away rather than in a day when I remember to check my site email.

I am aware web design is not cheap, but I think you misunderstand me. I am simply asking for people that would like to partner up a bit. I would have a page with some samples of your work, and if the person likes you they submit the form which I will send to you. You benefit from more business, I benefit from a more professional opperation.
Im not forcing anyone, so if you dont like it really there isnt a point to reply.

I think what you need to do is some how show us what makes partnering with you really benifit us. I understand what you are looking to do. Just realize that you are a stranger to all of us and not knowing you makes us weary to just jump into a partnership with you.
Do you have any operations in place already to show us how it works and what type of clients would use your and our services? Is there anywhere we can find more out about you?
With identity theft on the rise, especially over the internet. You really need to respect the reluctance of our members. I don't think any of the questions being asked were out of line.

I am in the process of redesigning my site, which is why I decided to implement this. The current site can be found at http://www.shock-box.com, however as soon as I am finished making the new site and revising prices its going to change.

It is not a scam, and im not sure why its giving you all 404s, works fine for me. I will FTP over the files to shock-box.com, so ill post that in a while.
Also yes, I am a reseller. Paying $200 a month for a dedicated server before I even get out into the business seems like a large waste to me. When I have enough income to afford the extra money for my own box I will get one, however until then it would not be a smart financial choice.
Reselling web hosting is not a scam.
I do it, though I don't market myself as a "web host" -- I just use my account for those clients that expect me to play middleman anyway (I call it "host management" -- I let my clients know that I rely on the support of my hosting provider.)
Most hosts these days are buying space and bandwidth from some parent company and reselling it. It's probably why prices have dropped so much as time goes by. But I digress.
Vineman, the fact that you can see your page and nobody else can means that you should probably look into why it's happening and resolve it -- believe you me, you'll have clients screaming at you about these types of issues!

The site I had it hosted on (bbscience.org) is not hosted by me, it is an old account I had paid a year for, before I opened my own (hes actually the reason I did). I use it for extra hosting purposes to leave more open space for my clients just in case.

As for being inspired by templatemonster, usually its the flash intros/animations/menus that make me go "hmm, thats neat".

Yeah, they all look like templates. But sometimes you come across some colors that work together well, or find a nice menu concept. Inspiration can be found anywhere and everywhere, not just from the "best of the best".
The sites you mentioned are infinitely better. I am not trying to say that templatemonster, or its like, are the best places for inspiration. Just that sometimes it works.
As for hijack, who cares? I don't think anyone took the OP seriously anyways :/
