Alright, I have a hard drive that is stripped and it is a master drive. Is there any possible way i could use this hard drive in my other computer that also has a master drive?

Yeah, what you do is hook up your master hard drive 2 (the stripped one) to your secondary ide slot on your mother board. Make sure you put it in the master position on you ribbon cable. Depending on how you have your bios it is most likely going to boot from your primary ide master hardrive, but there are programs you can get that will allow you choose at startup which hardrive you want to boot from, instead of going thru bios every single time. Comes in handy when you have like xp or something on one hardrive, or linux or unix on the other. good luck.

Dont forget to move the jumper to the slave position.
On any hard drive, there should be a group of like 8 or 10 pins next to the cable connection - over two of these pins will be stuck a little black box called the jumper - which can be pulled off with a tweezers and repositioned according to the instructions to create a slave drive. If you dont do this, the computer will be confused as to which hard drive is the startup disk. If you dont have the instructions, look 'em up online. Otherwise its kind of difficult to figure out where to put the jumper.

What happens if the jumper is positioned incorrectly? Sorry, can't tell ya anymore at this point, that's all I know. For all I know it could transmit a code that remotely triggers the destruction of earth from an alien planet.

How many lawns did you mow to save up for 2 computers? :D

From what I remember, nothing really. I added a new hard drive to my comp a couple of months ago and had a hell of a time doing it. The Earth is still here so I doubt that. :D

Couple of months ago, eh? 'Bout the same time Katrina and Rita were blowin' through, eh? Coincidence? I think not.
