I'm not a Mac whiz, and google has not been very helpful. Heres my problem:

I've got a few different user profiles on the same machine, but the one for my brother seems to be turning the screen monochrome, i.e. grayscale! why?
My profile displays color perfectly.
I've tried going into the systems preferences and changing the color settings and all that stuff but nothing seems to work.
I thought this could be a virus, or somthing to do with the video card but then it would affect the other profiles too.

Each user has their own system preferences.
Did you try resetting his to match yours?
You'll have to log in to his screen.

yeah, i logged onto his profile and tried changing all the colour settings: millions of colours, 256 colours etc. nothing seemed to work. I'll try and reset his profile, see if that works.

FYI: no need to reset, i went back and revisited the problem, it was just that in the UNIVERSAL ACCESS options in system preferences, it was set to monochrome and negative.
