Anyone know of any sites that have examples of old logos - spacifically from around the 1940's? I tried Google, with little luck... I am sort of in a jam here. If anyone knows of anything that would be great - but dont go out of your way to find something... I can do the searches, I'm just not coming up with much and thought I'd give this a shot.
Thanks in advance,
Satchel

and logotypes.ru
not sure about old logos, but those have a very large majority of logos
maybe try a search for "vintage advertisements" or something along those lines. I've seen a lot of retro ads around, bound to be logos on 'em.

Thanks guys... I was looking up 40's ads, and things like that I just didn't think about Vintage - I will be checking into these... I knew someone would be able to help.

No, not lucky enough for that... actually it's an exclusive (to my casinos) bank of slots that some genius in the slot department has named Grand Doozie, and dubbed the biggest thing to hit the floor since the IGT Conversion, ok let me re-phrase that so everyone understands... it's coolest thing since sliced bread... basically!?! They said if it flops, it's marketing's fault... because we didn't advertise it right, haha nice of them to drop it on us in the final stage, and say it's our fault if it's not a success, gotta love that!

Have you tried Logo R.I.P (http://www.logorip.com/)?
Or better yet, do you have time enough to buy the Logo R.I.P book (http://www.logorip.com/)?

Try vintage magazines as well all of the products advertised will most likely have some sort of logo. Maybe even the local library can help.

You might try to find a copy of Trademarks of the 40's and 50's (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/087701485X/qid=1133480259/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/104-6299748-4015937?s=books&v=glance&n=283155).
