Can anyone name me some graphic designers that I might be able to do my Art and Design essay on? Any links to information about them would be appreciated too.
Thanks

If I am stating the obvious, please ignore me.
David Carson could be a cool one, as his direction in design is somewhat different from the traditional designers theory.
It might help your design loosen up a little too, if you haven't looked at his process of intuition.
Mmmmm links...
www.google.co.uk ;)
He has a few books out, the end of print is very good. It is published by Lewis Blackwell.

Honestly, that is an incredibly daring website interface for a design company! I like it. :)

it's cool isn't it? totally functional, does exactly whats its ment to, no bullshit afterall less is more right?... you should buy their book the work in it is jaw dropping in places
I would love to get that... Will probably have to order from Amazon.
A thought about their web interface... Because their work is so immediately impressive, the layout of their website is right away thought of as 'creative'. Yet if their portfolio was amateur, the immediate response to the same layout would be 'they don't know what they're doing'. I bet if you were to ask one of them why they chose such a design, they would say something along the lines of "It's all about the work!"

yeah i think your right about their sight, your right too it was pretty daring, works a treat though....
i got the book a couple of months back, deffinately worth the money its not just a photo of their work and some explanitory text, they use defferent stocks spot uv's, overprinting, metallics its a piece of design in itself... beautiful.

I think DanEDawg's suggestion for Von Glitschka is a great one. Not only is he a very good designer/illustrator-- he's a designer activist--plus, he's still so very much approachable, funny as hell, and relatively young.
Jeff Fisher would be another good choice in that regard-- a real accessible 'statesman' for the working designer and extremely generous with his 'wisdom'. (And another very funny guy).
