I just upgraded to CS2 (from a dinosaur-age version of PS) and needed to make a map in a hurry this morning - and the line tool isn't the same! It keeps filling in like they do in Illustrator if you don't have the settings right.

How do I change it? Is there now a better way to draw a map in a hurry? (I wound up doing it in Quark, this was one of those "I need that flyer in 10 minutes" things.)

I hate asking n00b questions...

why don't you do it in Illy to begin with?

yu could always use the pen tool and stroke that line

I had PS open anyway, that's why. I COULD do it in Illy, and would have if the entire flyer wasn't needed in 10 minutes and I had time to fool around. I'll also admit Illy is not my strong suit.

K - so if I need to make a line for some reason someday, do you know how I fix my settings in PS?

Change the fill setting to 0%. Then use the layer effect 'stroke'.

At least that's what I'll do. :)
