I am thinking of actually protect the html content as well, but that is a lot of pages to protect. Caught some maroon in sweden that grabbed 300+ megabytes of TIEMdesign.com content in a little over two hours, their ip range is blocked for a month as a result, we at times permanety block IP ranges if we have a lot of abuse from it....

You know what be even funnier, would be if i could link the error to a SWF (flash file) and embedded a piercing high decibel squealing sound into it that loops forever, now that would be funny as you know what. The look of panic when the file loaded <evil grin>.
I don't know if i can do it or not, but i might just have to give it a try....

Now don't get carried away. You just want to stop the stealing, not kill the internet users. Plus, if you start getting huge 'stolen' images, then your bandwidth will suffer.

the gif is like 8k, i think a SWF file with a loop sound smaple would only be about 40k, alsmost worth the price. Can you imagine the guy tha tposts the image and then previews it (LOL).

/emoticons/wink.gif We made another change so images will onli show as broken, the reason behind it is, we have seen several seartch engines direcly linking to our PDF and Images, if someone (now) clicks the direct link or if the search engine tries to load a cahced page it will dirrect them to our site with a message. Images and files ar e still protected but i want the users to come to us, rahter than reading it on a search engine (MORE TRAFFICE YAAAAAH). In case you guys didn't lknow it TIEMdesign Magazine servers 1.5+ million pages a month, roughly a terabyte of content/data leaves our network each month...
