It blows my mind, but Wacom now has an LCD tablet/display that allows you to use the stylus to draw right on the screen! Is this new? It certainly looks it to me. Very cool. Anyone tried one?

yeah i've seen a few floating around, they are cool, but expensive! 2500 dollarydoos!

That's why I would reccomend a tablet pc, if you can tolerate leaving behind MacOS. For much less you get many of the same features (except for the airbrush/ other pens), with the bonus of portability and a less hefty price tag.
But yah, they freakin' rock, and yes, I still want one

Agreed, I have a tablet pc and other than the fact that it runs Windows, I love it. It has less pressure levels than a Wacom Intuos, but you honestly won't notice. But if you do get a tablet pc, make sure to pick up Alias Sketchbook Pro, that really is almost like sketching on paper.

i have the intous3 12x18 at work and its sweet as hell.
but, i used there newest one at the Mac Design Conference Expo and it blew me away. the response was incredible
