I've never actually thought about this before and google was fruitless, but when using a brush to draw, you don't get a continuos stroke, instead you get repetitions of the brush shape, e.g. if you move a basic brush too rapidly, you get points instead of a line. I'm okay with PS, but i'd like to get more famialiar with the 'nitty gritty'. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this so that i get a line no matter how quickly i move the cursor? I've got the 'flow' setting on 100%.

P.S. ive tried stroking a path, with the brush i want, but it seems to just add points to the anchors of the path.

Hi,

Once you have the Brush Tool activated from the main Tool Bar, Press F5 and pull up the Brushes menu, or click on the brush (B) and see in the upper right menu a brush tab. Most of the information for brush tweaking will be found in there.
More of my training movies can be found at http://worldcuptraining.com
There are tons of photoshop advanced techniques and illustrator and flash.

good luck,

david

i had this problem too - yup gotto get the brushes menue - uncheck all the boxes there and click on where it says brush tip shape - at the bottom there you should see a sliding bar 'spacing' move that down to 1% presto!
