i'm trying to install the illustrator 10 update on my mac os 10.2.6.
i double click the update i downloaded from adobe to install it. but then it says "no classic folder found. would you like to continue?"
so i hit ok and then when i open illustrator, it still says its just version 10.0... does this mean i have to have classic installed in order to upgrade?

Swiped from Adobe Support:
After completing the update and launching Adobe Illustrator 10.0.3, choose Help > About Illustrator, and you will see ?10.0.3? above the Venus image on the right side of the Adobe Illustrator 10 splash screen.

That's a weird message. Does it give you an option to point at the folder you want to update?
And why don't you have classic installed? If you have not used the classic environment yet, you may need to start it up once. Go to your control panel to select the OS9 it should use for classic (I don't have an OSX machine in front of me at the moment to tell you exactly the name of the Classic control panel.

yeah, i checked and it still say version 10 and nothing else.
and it doesn't even have me point it to a folder, it just continues and then says installation was succesful.
As for not having classic... i formated my HD a while back and then re-installed the os, but i didn't install classic back on there... i don't know why i did that at the time, now i'm wishing i did.
