I'm looking to research stock photos for use in newsletter templates, i've noticed some stock sites seem to forbid such use, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yes, templating is usually not allowed. You would have to contact the image house directly and arrange for special licensing. It will cost money.

Just because a website tells you it can't be done doesn't mean they are unwilling to create a special license to grant certain permissions if the right amount of cash is flashed.

Sometimes the image house is bound by contract to the owner of the image too. They have the ultimate say.

Thanks for your response, its actually for a newsletter template that would be two pages prefab with text and graphics and then the other two pages the client would provide the text for and i would be placing it into the rest of the standard template i created. So it sounds like this would be too expensive to get pictures for...

try www.istockphoto.com (http://www.istockphoto.com) - not sure what their policy is exactly, but I think you can use them for commercial use. Not the best photos in the world, but there is some good stuf, and it's cheap!

www.istockpro.com is the pro version
