not sure about the concept or the execution to be honest.

I'm on win xp ff1.5 resolution 1024x768

I don't think having to scroll up and down to navigate and then seee the work is very effective. It's basically too difficult to navigate, and I'm not sure that flash is the most effective technology to use.

Also if I have one of the sections open, and I then click about, then both sections overlap each other - if you see what I mean.

The idea is OK, but it needs some work in order to be effective I think

What's the connection between a bowl of cereal cubes and a tacked on note? Your port. display area and the navigation are nice elements and all but there's nothing tying them together. No sense that they belong together.

Website display needs a little work in your port section. They're really hard to see at the moment.

Screen size is another consideration.

IMO the sketches section looses it's effect when they're finished drawings, not showing processes to an end. Something more like your personal use sketch but with more process (i.e. what other doodles did you do to lead to this? Not hey this is the process that I draw in). Something that shows your thought process when you're designing.

The vertical height is too tall! I have a 1024x768 resoultion and I still have to scroll! Not cool. If you MUST expand outside of a 800x600 you have to at least fit it within the next resolution size, no scrolling! Consider that many of your cleints are business people and not designers. Most have 15in - 19in screens, and probably have a smaller screen resolution set.

I also agree with there being no visual connection between the cereal bowl or the notepad. I say you stick with your breakfast cereal theme and perhaps replace the note paper with a cereal box that features thumbnails of your work. The work itself is well done. I like your navigation.

i like it but take it further - you tag line could be "part of your complete breakfast"
add a banana or toast - instead of "pixels" the cubes you could to cheerios speilling pixels

I think it's a neat idea... everything I was going to say has pretty much already been said.

I like your 3d sketch with all the little cubes.

Or to tie it all together you could put your work on a Fridge, like your mommy used to do. Use a "magnet" then you could drag it around like you seem to like. I think it's a cool idea... I guess it's too large, it fits my screen (but I'm not the average public) with a little tweeking this could be a really cool site.

I'm with Morea, I won't add to the other comments, they are good ones to help improve the concept. I do like the idea, just needs some tweaking.

"momma always said breakfast is the most important meal of the day"

how about a "chomp" sound when you rollover the pixels in the milk?
instead of the thumbnail holding a note you could have the ingredents side of the cerial box

Do we know for a fact that pixels stay crunchy in milk?

The concept is alright...might have used a box of cereal knocked over and used the pieces from that as your links. Another idea. take a photo of cupboard full of ceral boxes and use them as a links.

The overall idea is neat, not something seen all the time and it has a catchy description- "remember the one with the cereal pixels" -an employer might say as they remember your site. Some tweeking like everyone is saying is def in order. Move things closer together to avoid scrolling and what not, but its your site so you dont have to change much other than its navigation for it to be more effective. I think everything else is matter of opinion and preference. But as we designers do believe, our work is never done and projects can always be developed further or rethought. I like what you have done, your best portfolio piece i feel is the red cross poster. Nicely done and good concept. Good Job!:-)

Hey, thank you all so much for your feedback!! I'll answere your posts tomorrow when i'll have a bit more free time.

I really appreciate your comments. I'll definitly have to change the resolution...
I can see that the note isn't really fitting together with everything else, I choose it for the neatness of the site, but yeah...I'll keep working on it! (and i'll think about sound, too!)
It's so good to receive feedback like that! Thanks for being so honest and giving me so good advise and good ideas. I'll work on it tomorrow, so I might put up the new version tomorrow night.. :)

I think itis fine....a few technical issues as addressed before- but, generally its sucessfull as sits.

At this point its more so about how much more time you want to put into it and what your satisfied with... then anything.

I also suffer from perfectionist syndrome... so I know what you mean, lol.

good luck

I love the concept. It's unique and I like that.

It doesn't work well on an 800X600 screen, and there is at horozontal scrollbar at 1024X768.
