Hello everyone,

I have my personal web page.
Here is: www.webgamma.net (http://www.webgamma.net)

Could you please give me your feedback?!

Thanks a lot. :)

Right off the bat, there is an "S" in success missing. But that aside...

Good size for the header; that's about the perfect size to halt on, go no bigger. Quickly establishes who you are/what the site is/etc.

Personal preference, but I think the top hand nav would benefit more being a side nav, since you have the subnav areas listed below. On a lot of top-nav sites that also have subpage links, they typically use things like expanding and popup windows in order to keep their small size.

Another personal preference, but perhaps sorting all the site pieces into multiple pages and displaying six-ten per page would seem less overwhelming for the front page? (i.e. << Previous Ten Next Ten >>, whatever) On that token, perhaps you can display your best/favorite work on the front page and then have everything else deeper in.

I like the top nav design, very cool. And great expandability effect.

Although, I would do what Patrick suggests and split up your front page content and work on a better way of seperating your nav info. That's a lot to process and I had no desire to read thru it because of just too much.

Summary: design is on the right track but usability needs work! =)

I agree with Patrick and DesignIt about the header: Good design, flow and with a professional look to it.

You do, in my opinion, have way too many thumbnails on the page which makes for slow page loading, a major no-no. You have some 30 JPEGs between 8Kb to 17Kb for your projects all on one page, not counting your header and footer images.

I echo Patrick and DesignIt about selecting a "best" example for several catagories you create and then put the rest on a separate layer. Long scrolling is best left to discussion threads.

The top nav definitely would benefit from some sort of drop-down menu treatment to reduce its height and total page length.

I think you have the foundation for a great webpage here, Denis, just needs to be a little more user-friendly.

thanks a lot. ;) << Previous Ten Next Ten >> - this is very good idea!!!
now about subnavigation, I think that is not fully made navigation, you can see there are boxes which describes my skills, services, contacts. thats it. when I were designing this page i didnt think that those boxes can be recognized as navigation.

Thanks!

Nothing to add, however what jumped out at me was the copyright date.

2003? That IMO, makes it look dated.
How about Copyright ©2003-2005 (don't forget 2006 is right around the corner?)

well guys, first of all i would like to thank each of you for comments. i'll fix the errors.

and now i invite you to review the absolutely new design of webgamma.net. Here is the link http://www.webgamma.net/html note that it is not the fully made site, but only html template.

Its getting there...

I think it would be more so sucessfull and professional with the direction you are heading to maybe isolate your information within a centered div.

Rather then having it be floating amlessly on the page.

generally isolation makes the whole more so personal also.

Then leaving it very open... like you ahve now- if you get what I am saying.
