I got PS 7 a few months ago and I've been using it no problem.

Then yesterday, I went to make an icon and the text was size 12 but when I would type it looked smaller than 1. I wasn't even sure if it was showing up at all. So I made the text a bit bigger but nothing happened. I rebooted and went back on and it's still doing that. I can't figure out how to make it the right size.

do you have superscript or subscript on?

Have you tried using different fonts. Also, it could be the graphic itself. For example, if you have a 5x5 doc. at 300dpi and type 12pt text you should see it with no problem. If you have a doc. at 20x20 at 300dpi and above and then type 12pt text, you may have a problem seeing it. So double check your image size and resolution.

I tried both Superscript and Subscript. It stayed the same.

It should still show up around the same relative size whether it's 300 dpi or 72 dpi if you're basing off of a physical unit of measurement (just tested it at each resolution) so that shouldn't be the problem. However, does this happen with other fonts? What font are you using? I can't reproduce the error (I have PS7 as well).

It's because of your resolution settings.

Thing is I already tried that for her. I created two documents at the same physical size, one at 72 dpi and the other 300, and the text still outputs at the same physical size.
