Well no movie review this week cause my family was in town this weekend. but i have a nice little story and people can share some similar ones.

my parents stayed at a hotel and it was on the 3rd floor. they had a little deck out there. so i'm sitting out there with Pam and my mom and i'm facing this window across the way. Through the curtains I can see this girl. she's walking around her room. Looks nice, cute. Well all of a sudden...whoops the shirts comes off and then the bra. Nice stuff. I love stuff like that...a little surprise!

I saw two rentals this weekend, so I guess I'll review those.

Duplex

It's a movie about a couple (Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore) who move into a nice apartment in Brooklyn. But they soon find out that the 'sweet old lady' that lives upstairs is much more than they bargained for.

It had funny points, but it was pretty mean-spirited like most Ben Stiller movies. The ending is nice. Wasn't a bad movie, but not the greatest.

Memento

This movie is about a guy that got into an accident and lost his short-term memory, so he can't make new memories. He has stuff tatooed on his body to remind him in the morning. The night he lost his short-term memory, his wife was raped and murdered. So he is trying to find the killer.

The movie is ver detailed and complicated. It actually starts at the end and works it's way back. It has a twist ending and I found it to be a very interesting movie. I believe it is cool poop on defjoe's scale.

I did see it defjoe...it was good, but nothing to rave about. I am finding it difficult to do a review because it really didn't evoke anything in me...you'll have to see it and tell me what you think.

Big Fish, good stuff. An adult fairy tale with a touching ending...

Defjoe, what's wrong with you? You saw this girl's boobies, and you didn't take a picture? I'm sure the wife wouldn't have minded when you told her it was for your GDF brothers.

Oooo Oooo! I saw Riddick too! I liked it. I was actually going to go see Day After Tomorrow but it sold out right in front of me. I'm not going to give away any details but here's my take on it: a cool twist to a sequal. I never would have expected them to take the franchise in this direction. They absolutely made reference to Pitch Black, and that scores big with me. I don't know if the actors were the same or not because I can't remember that far back. But I really hate it when a sequal comes out and it's as if the first movie never happened.
Also, I hate it when a sequal comes out and is nothing more than a re-hash of the first one (Mission Impossible 2, Terminator 3, etc.). This movie does a good job of taking what was in the first movie and expanding on it. Like The Empire Strikes Back did for Star Wars.
Vin Diesel is a bad ass! You can tell he enjoys that role, and it's fun to watch him escape the predicaments he gets into all the while spouting witty one liners.
The computer effects were good. They were no Lord Of The Rings, but then what is?
The characters travel to this planet that's super-hot in the sun and super-cold in the shade. That may not be an original idea but I liked the way it was art directed, very cool.
All in all it was a good flick. And if it does well I think we can expect a FURTHER Chronicles of Riddick.

i didn't go see any new movies this weekend, maybe next weekend. i did finally get to see 'something's gotta give'. pretty funny movie, except i'm not fond of watching old farts like jack nicholson getting it on. yuck. i'm sure i'll think differently when i'm old and wrinkled, but not yet.

lol @ defjoe's booby show ...
