How can I change the default font that InDesign uses when I start typing. Right now it is using Geeza Pro as the default font when I draw a text box and start typing, I would like to change that to s'thing like Helvetica.
CS on a G5 os 10.3

I'm just taking a guess here, but it could be a preset when installing...I use quark at work, but have indesign at home and I think I remember selecting that option when I installed...sorry not if not much help here...If anyone else knows for sure, I'd sure like to know as well!

check your preferences under Edit. If you can't find something there trash your indesign prefs, maybe.

Select your text tool with no documents open.
In your "bar" choose the font you want to be your typing default.
Magic.

That 'no document open' thing works for a lot of other defaults too. Worth reviewing.
