... to those of you that ARE back. Everybody else, just don't gloat about all the extra time off you got when you get back. ;)

I needed to get back. Holidays are exhausting, fattening, and bankrupting.

I could gloat about it now, instead of when I go back to work. Would you prefer that? By the way, I'm sitting on my sofa leisurely drinking coffee and contemplating when I'll go see a movie today, and whether or not it will interfere with my afternoon nap. But that's probably gloating. :D
Of course, I'm still not getting paid for this week, but it is a nice break.

Bah, we don't have any work, so I'm sitting here at my DESK, leisurely drinking coffee and contemplating which web based games I will use to entertain myself throughout the day until my late afternoon daydreaming...
also wondering whether my boss will realize he should have given me the time off unpaid instead of paying me to sit here bored as a post... :D
and Joe, I think that's why we only have them once a year!

I have a new found obsession for cream puffs. I hope everyone got everything they asked for this holiday season! My wife and I bought a new digital camera (Kodak C330) with some money we got. It's a pretty good camera. We got the printing dock with it as well so we'll have lots and lots of pug pictures all over our house!

Well we don't have em once a yr though, that's the problem. The december ones are merely the culmination, the crescendo of a symphony of excess begun in november.

having yesterday off was nice, because otherwise all those long islands I drank Christmas night would have made for quite a workday on monday... ;o) instead I got to sleep in, go to the mall and visit with some old friends, get myself a case for my nano, get a new book, watch Fantastic 4, clean the kitchen, watch Las Vegas, watch Alf season 2, and get to bed for a nice short week of work.

I was off yesterday too. Fat lot of good it did me. I was sick with a really high fever all day yesterday. I'm still not in the best of shape, but i'm back. With nothing to do. Oh well, at least I have you guys... :)
HEY! 500!! Yay me! :D

hmm I like the short week of work ;)
Ya I watched polar express this weekend, all week I spent time with some close friends bouncing into a couple parties, relaxing, watching tv as well. Christmas day we met up, grabbed some chinese food and crashed watching adult swim. Yesterday was great too

yesterday allowed me to catch up on some freelance work, the housework, and to lay down some beatings on Baldur's Gate. :D

Yesterday had dinner with the folks and extended family. My nieces are up from Orlando. Very cute but also very loud.
I sure got my fill of beer drinking this weekend. I discovered a new favorite beer called Wexford's Irish Cream Ale. Verrrrrry tasty. I should start a beer blog or something...

I miss getting lots of toys and presents. I did get a decent amount of cash from parents, but its going straight towards paying off bills.

eew, bills.
You know, if I rightly remember, back in Biblical times, every 7th year all the debt against a person was annulled. I think we should start doing that again. :D

Me too. It was a struggle to roll out of bed at 7:45 this morning, When I usually wake up around 10:00 or 11:00. At least you get to go home at 5, I am shooting for 7:00. I just got finished doing all the Bosses work, now I have to start doing my own. Oh happy days :D

I get up at 7:30. A far cry from the 10:30 wake-up time of my last job. I've never been a morning person.
Me neither, I am a big fan of late nights and leisurely mornings. What I really hate is having to wake up with an alarm clock. That thing scares the bejesus outta me. How do you people do it?

It's easy, I just keep a shotgun next to the bed, and a very large supply of alarm clocks in the closet.

I here you there MD
I also hate when alarm clocks are in commercials - why the hell would anyone want to here that more than once a day.
Only if it's this one ;)

My alarm clock is one of those that plays a CD. However, I've had "The Fat of the Land" by The Prodigy in there for several years. This means that me and my wife have been waking up to the song "Smack My Bitch Up" for over 4 years. I guess I'm just too lazy to change it.
I really don't want to hear that song somewhere else. It will really screw with my mind.

I'm not back to work yet, and boy am I glad. I have so much Christmas crap to clean up. I'm still stuffed from Christmas dinner, and my Kathy Smith workout tapes are calling my name.

I had a relaxing weekend hanging out with friends and playing lots of xbox. I played a bunch of Halo 2 multiplayer and Riddick. Caught up on Freelance work for a big meeting Thursday and then caught myself a damn cold. Started feeling like shit last night and felt horrible today. So i went to work for only a few hours and then came back home and slept. I feel a little better but this damn thing better go away by Thursday!! Argh!
