Anyone out there running Suitcase X1 11.0.2?
If, are you having problems with the Auto-Activation of fonts in Quark when opening a document? When I open something, and it attempts to auto activate, my Quark (v 6.1) just quits on me. Any solutions?

I've been thinking about just trying out fontbook instead of Suitcase. How many of you are doing this now? How is it working out?

It just seems like it would be simpler with less problems...???

I use it at home now... but i'm not on a network and i don't do alot of designing here at home so I have no clue if there is a auto activate function to it. Might have to look that up.

I'm on Suitcaxe 11.0.2. I don't have any problems, but I NEVER use atuo-update. If you're on a network, and different computers connected to it have different font libraries it can cause problems. It may active multiples of the same font (which confuses Quark...not a hard thing to do, anyway), or it may active damaged fonts that are floating on the network. In any event, it's better to just update manually. Or so our prepress director keeps telling me...
