I was reading a thread on here about someone hitting a deer in MN I think it was Satchel who posted it in the photography thread. It reminded me of a time a few months ago.
My family was comming back from a wedding in my dad's brand new 4 door chevy truck. They passed a couple cops sitting on the side of the rode with lights on. They didnt know what they were doing since they had no one pulled over.
Anyways a couple miles down the road they hit a 2500lb cow that was sitting in the middle of the road. The cow was missing for about a week I guess from a local farmer. The police got a call that someone saw it that is why they were up the road looking for it. Well after they hit the cow they got ahold of police and the cops that were down the road showed up, luckily no one was hurt. The cow was still laying there moaning n stuff, when my brother in law suggested to the cop that he should probably put it out of its misery.
The cop pulled out his gun and shot at it from about 30 yards away when it waspitch black out mind you. The cow just let out a big mooooo and laid there. My brother inlaw suggested he might want to get a little closer to actually see where he is shooting. So the cop got right up to the cow and shot it two or three more times.
THings went on and they were going to have the cop give my dad a ride back to their place to get another vehicle to get everybody home. Right before they looked over where the cow was laying and it was GONE, after being hit by a huge full size truck at 65 miles per hour and shot 3 or 4 times it still lived!
Just like me myself and irene. hahahahaha
I will never forget that story, I wish I could have been there for that.
Luckily they decided to take the truck that night, if they would have been in Intreped, or a couple seperate vehicles things could have been bad. Or even worse my dad has a little metro to save on gas instead of driving his big ass truck around, if they would have been in that ouch not good.
