I have a large amount of pdf files that im putting on a site, each one between 1000-2000 K. I think this is too big, am I correct? What would a good size be?

I think that is way too big, 2000k is over 1 meg if my memory serves me correct and it could cause your site to load slowly for some people. I usually try to keep any files I add to my own site under 200k. I am not a website designer by any means but I am sure some of our web guys here will chime in.

are you just putting them up for people to download, like resume and portfolio pieces?

i think you mean 1000-2000KB which is 1-2mb

is not that big if you multiple colour pages. It is if you just have b/w pages.

It actually sounds about right, to me. On high speed connections, one of those would be downloaded before you can say hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.

Anything lower than a 56k, frankly, I wouldn't accomodate anymore. On a 56k, downloading one of the PDFs may take, ehhh, anywhere between 7 and 10 minutes I'm guessing.
