Oy! If it's National Clean Off Your Desk Day, you go through the motions... even if your desk is already clean, or even if HR doesn't come by with a cardboard box and ask to help you to the door! Come on, people! :p

After all, it's clean OFF your desk day, not clean OUT your desk day. So just shove everything into your drawers or filing cabinets. Ta da! Finished.

My desk is cleared off every night. Our house is so small at 400 sq.ft. that ANY clutter makes the whole place look bad.

Whats the point? By lunch time people will have piled more crap on it than imaginable. Papers/requests/pens/cutting tools/stamps/markers/etc/various junk/food/drinks/more junk/and maybe a body or 2.

I'll bring a camera one day and get some pictures of this so called "desk" I have....

Yeah, sometimes things just mysteriously find their way onto my desk, and I sure don't remember putting them there. Must be desk gnomes.... sneaky buggers.

but i also get the stuff that disappears too, especially the stuff that people mess with when they come up here, files from my boss's desk end up on mine, and vise versa.
