Hi, I am using macromedia flash MX to try to create some rollover text that is clickable to other url.
I manage to create the rollover text using the insert frame function but I realised that if I want to add action, I will have to convert to symbol and then it will lost the rollover effects....
I wish that it could be as easy as creating a clickable rollover text using dreamwaver....But i need to create inside a flash document
.
Anyone can help me on this or is that a better way?
I have attached a file to show what i mean, just can't add action/link to it....

Here's basically the easiest way to turn text into a link in flash. You may know this already, so i apologize if ive misunderstood your question.
1. type the text for your link.
2. select the text, press F8, and convert to button.
3. now that your text is a button, double click on it so you can edit it.
4. Once double clicked, noew options will appear in the timeline for 'up', 'over', 'down', 'hit'. (i think thats what they're called...something like that).
Here is where you can change the colors of the text to create the rollover effect. Once finished, get out of this 'button edit' mode and go back to the main timeline view. (you click somewhere in the top left corner of the timeline area...sorry i'm not more precise, i dont have flash in front of me)
5. once back in the normal edit view (i hope you know what i mean), select your button, and open your actions window. Choose 'open URL' (i think thats the wording) and type in the link you want it to go to.
Hope it helps. Also I'm going to be putting up a few flash tutorials in my resources page on my site soon.
plus, there is another technique to use on your text link to so the whole text area becomes the link, not just the actual letters. let me know if you need help doing this as well.
