Hello all. I am new here. I read GDF all the time. I post mostly at PrePressforums.com. I have a design degree from SFCC (spokane falls), after school I fell into prepress/production and have yet to climb out. I work for a large commercial printer. Official title is "prepress manager / lead production artist." I have been involved in advertising/printing/publishing for 10 years. Now that we know each-other could someone please tell me what type face the logo on this website is? I am sure it is obvious...just not to me. Thanks in advance.

Glad to have you! The emergency exits are the little "x" in the corner of the window, and "CTRL+W".
The font looks like some version of "zeroes"

Prepress folks are weird.
Something about being near all that ink warps them.
Oh yeah - and WELCOME TO GDF!!!

Oh yeah - and WELCOME TO GDF!!!Hey, I resemble that remark! Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!
For me it's not the ink, it's the radiation from 6 monitors surrounding my head! Glow in the dark grampa! Grandkids love playing hide and seek (outside, of course)!

Hi Raiderfrog, welcome to the forum. I used to be a pre-press guru until it drove me insane. I was ok until the pressmen found me huddled in the corner wispering "publisher publisher" over and over again. I'm doing much better now, the horrible grimace is almost gone from my face and the doctors say the restraints should come off soon. http://home.comcast.net/~rnick9/koolsmiley.gif

Thanks for the warm welcome! Good to meet all of you. I think its great prepress and design folks are finally getting along. We are all brothers and sisters in this crazy world we call graphics. (Publisher Publisher) thats funny. I believe that font is Baker Signet, yep I am sure of it. Hey stay away from RickSelf...he loves publisher.

Whadda you know? Prepress and designers will never get along, not in real life anyways. This is kinda like a date/chat room. Everybody's beautiful! In their own way!
Ah, sing it children, everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven the world's gonna find a way

Actually, the queen busted her tail through Bishop, and ripped him in half across the Sulaco dock. Yeah, that's how it happened.

Who was the guy in the first one who had it bust through when he was eating spaghetti? That was the one I meant.

It was Kane (John Hurt). Bishop was Lance Henriksen.
That was some nasty spaghetti. Anyone else see the directors cut of Alien 3? It's amazing how that never made it to theatre, it's outstanding and my new fav of the series. Practically an entirely different movie.

I don't think that was spaghetti--it was bean sprouts. I've felt a little creepy about bean sprouts ever since. Though I did have bean sprouts on my Bun Cha Gio at the Vietnamese restaurant today.

David Fincher is awesome. The performances by the prisoners is amazing. How they cut so much as they did is unbelievable. And if you think the alien bursts out of a dog, you think wrong. It's not perfectly restored, mainly with the audio (it automatically subtitles those parts for you, which is nice), but that's a minor nuiscance.
