t shirt fabric

i was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites to purchase fabric for making shirts? any help would be great. thanks

Are you going to try to run this thru a printer or dye sub? If so, call your printer vendor and ask for suggestions on suppliers.

If not, do a google for fabric stores.

Ya gotta know what that material is though. I think it's some kind of cotton/lycra mix.

If you have a place like a JoAnn's or a Fabric Place (New England area) or even a Walmart you can find something. If you are looking for wholesale try a business-to-business fabric source.

Sewing that material sux! Why not buy the t shirts ready made? Or are you making something else?

(Yeah, I can sew, sort of. So sue me. You can end up doing a lot of weird things in Custom Fabrication when you don't look busy enough fixing GD files.)

atleast you're man enough to admit it. hell i wish i could sew. anyway i'm looking for some cool patterns for button up shirts. stuff like volcom and quiksilver make. i'm just wondering how they get there fabric because i haven't been able to find anything like it at any fabric store or on the net. i guess i'll have to keep looking. thanks again man

That stuff is custom printed either silkscreen or fabric dyed.
You can make up your own designs and find a custom fabric silk screener,
or maybe find someone that runs shirts or fabric thru a dye sublimation unit. That's a heat transfer process that dyes the pattern into the fabric and can be machine washed. As long as the material can withstand 400 degree heat going thru the rollers. Do a google on dye sublimation to find a vendor.
