How do you save to an older version of Illustrator using CS2?

A client sent a file she made using Illustrator CS2...I called her and told her to create outlines on all test and then go to File/Export...then select Illustrator Legacy...She said that wasn't an option..is there a different way to do it in CS2? Thanks

Yes, CS2 allows you to save down like the old versions did, you can pic your version.

is there a different way to do it besides File/Export? She listed the options and Legacy wasn't one of them...

I don't have Illy CS2 were I'm located at the moment. But I've done it several times. You may not have to export--try--save as or it could be export and then a drop menu appears and the different versions will be listed.

I'm pretty sure its export-illustrator legacy-after you click export a window will pop up with the different versions listed.

hmm, she even listed the other options...bmp, tiff, macromedia flash, etc...sigh

You should probobly pick up the upgrade to CS2 or your going to get alot of this I know here at work we had to get it due to the fact that the time we were spending telling people how to save to an older version was far more expensive than just buying the upgrade.

Mention it to the right person and maybe you will loose the intern status. What I like about being the only Graphics guy at a small company is when I mention a new program the boss gives me the okay and I order it using the company credit card. Its the power of being the only guy here who knows anything about this stuff.

CS2 use save as...type the file name, then an option box will come up with a drop down to choose previous versions of illy

ahhh, I managed to get it to work by having her outline the fonts and then sending me the new version. It imported into my version ok...I'll keep this in mind for the future. Thanks everyone
