Hello. I'm pretty new at design, and I'm still trying to get a grasp of truetype vs. open type vs. postscript and was looking through my fonts (pc) and noticed a different type of font listed. I converted a bunch of mac fonts into pc format a few years back when I made the switch after college to pc. Those fonts have worked fine for me, they are listed as Type 1 fonts, which I would assume means postscript, however I don't have Adobe Type Manager installed, but they still work. What is up with that? I also have a bunch of TT and open type that work fine. (Unless I'm missing something and they, in fact, look horrible to any other experienced designer.) I'm learning to avoide TT but those seem to work okay for me in print. Any advice for me? Should I drop what I'm doing, get ATM and forget all TT forever?
