How do you as designers keep yourself out of a depressive slump? I find myself in one quite abit lately.

for me, those slumps usually have to do with something going on in my life, usually separate from design
i try to fix whatever it is... if that doesn't work, i treat myself to something real nice

Sarah, you've been here before...then we didn't hear from you for a while. Why don't you go and try to get some actual help this time around??? We all get depressed, but honestly, you seem to be chronic.

i take wellbutrin for my depression.... so, i don't really have to deal with it, cause i don't have it anymore... :)
everyone will get depressed sometimes its perfectly normal, but if your feeling down in the dumps 24/7 and always have to fight yourself out of it daily then you should get some help, cause thats def not normal...

Yeah I agree. I am actually going to do this group thing for depression. I refuse to take any pills unless it is weed to make me feel better.
i think pills can be good when u find the right one.. Wellbutrin never worked for me.. Paxil helped a lot. I used that for about 8mths and just stopped takin it.. it helped me thru a VERY low time in my life..

i've actually got a 'facts about cannabis' sheet from the addiction research foundation right here in front of me...
'Chronic heavy users, especially teens adn young adults, sometimes display a lack of energy and ambition, loss of memory and poor judgement. This has been called the 'amotivational syndrome'...'
when you're depressed, pot can be a good thing. SOMETIMES. and sometimes, you need a friend to kick you in the ass and say 'stop smoking so much pot, dumbass, and go talk to someone about that mood you're in'. don't know you too well, but i thought i'd pass on the info.
greetings, earthlings. take me to your dealer.
