I am trying to gather a collection of myths that designer and production people have about create enviormentionally friendly designs. I will combine these suggestions with some of my own pre-conceptions about eco-friendly design and sustainability to create a campaign for a fictional design sustainability conferance my college is hosting.
The concept is similar to the Lysol comercials where it states FACT 32: germs, blah, blah, blah, and then says some other things.
I want to present a Myth, and then dispute the myth by stating a fact about design sustainability
Myths:
Can't get bright white paper that is friendly.
It is more expensive
There is no paper variety
The paper quaility is poor
The paper variety is minimal
The ink variety is low
The inks are harder to find
Will have to adapt the design too much
That is what I thought about when we first started to discuss this in class, apparently I am not the only one in the dark on the subject.
What do you first think about when some one says to produce an eco-friendly product, or what missconceptions do you have about this topic in general?
