Ok, i see my two cats starring intently at the carpet. I saw a little hop, and I managed to catch this little mofo:

Definately not a flee...I took 3 scans of it...magnified a thousand times. That object on the left is part of a quarter, so it's quite small. Any ideas? It's definately an insect due to the 3 sets of legs. Unless I broke some off by accident...stupid bugs. As if I need any more poo right now...

Jesus, and I mean that like your f'n jesus to have eyes good enough to see that. Either that or you have like super halogen stadium lighting in your apartment. I don't know what the hell it is, but kudos on catching it, and seeing it, and sharing it with us!!

Looks kind of like a little shrimp. Beats me what the hell it is. What's that long nasty looking spike sticking out the back of it?

Well, I haven't gotten anymore bites in a long while. This one I found in my living room. I'll run a search...see what I come up with.
Ummm..what should I run a search on...household pests?

bed bugs are making a comeback all over north america, because the days when your mom would shut all the windows and 'raid' the house once a week are over....something about cancer....i dunno....so bedbugs are back.
also, it could be a flea - i thought fleas, when they've just hatched, are light and don't have a hard 'shell' straight away. and they can live in carpets. hell, i bought a house once and they were living in the wooden floorboards. i'd bet it's one of these, what with your crazy red pustules and all. try dunking your cats.
greetings, earthlings. take me to your dealer.

It's not a silverfish...nor is it a bed bug, which looks like a tic. A flea looks like this:

I don't think it's anything that is considered to be a common household pest. Which means it could be some regular joe insect. I mean dead insect.
